BICEP
Been thinking about cognitive load a lot recently, it’s a muscle, often you are brute forced in life to push you towards your (perceived) edge, but your edge is always expanding and your cognitive bandwidth growing. You might feel like you are taking on too much but you are probably only at 5% efficiency. You can cut the fat from things that are not important, do the harder jobs first, systemise, reconfigure your emotional link to distraction and avoidance.
I’ve coined the term BICEP, Bandwidth Increase for Cognitive Expansion Performance.
It’s what the business owners that survive are really good at, though often from the brute force reality of having to! It’s hard but nothing can teach the practise apart from experience.
Coming up with geeky acronyms help ease my cognitive load, clearly 😂
